Boo Hoo!

So I am really sorry that I have been neglecting my lovely blog. It is my senior year of high school and I am just buried in homework and college applications. On the bright side, I am looking forward to a 3-week winter break, which is not too far away from now. Hopefully I will survive these last four weeks and will end up making myself and my parents proud.

Bullying

Hello,

So I have been seeing a lot of news about a young girl named Amanda Todd who took her life because she was bullied so harshly by her peers. I did not see the significance of how bad the bullying effected people until yesterday when I was bullied by my own teacher. I have noticed that she has been hurting my self-esteem for a while now and yesterday I finally broke down crying. I am now on a mission to help those in need of attention when being bullied.

Busy Week

It's Been A While

Whoooweeeeeee,

It's been a while since school started, and for some reason, it feels like my senior year just began yesterday. Time is flying -and it's a good thing cause I want to graduate already! I'm in my IMED class right now and I am a bit frustrated because my video project won't seem to work on YouTube. I really don't want to lose points because I completed the project on time and now it decides to act up.:(

Braces Off!

I am in so much pain right now because the rubber bands on my braces are killing me! On top of that, I can't eat anything at all because every time I try chewing, it feels like someone is yanking my teeth out pf my gums. However, I am looking forward to them coming off on Wednesday! Can't wait!!!

TEST STRESS!

I am sooooo terrified right now; I have BOTH my precal and biology exams today. I studied till 1 am last night and I still don't feel prepared. I am praying that I do well because my goal is to make an A on both. I'll keep y'all posted!

It's Monday and I am extremely tired. I have been staying up extra hours lately to complete my work ahead of time. I hope that my new study habits will let me make better grades this semester and allow me to be in the top 10% in my class.

Taking Action

Soooo, I have been having a lot of trouble with procrastination. I tend to wait until the last minute to do all of my work due the next day. Unfortunately, that often leads to me staying up all night and sleeping in my classes the next day too. I decided this weekend that this behavior needs to STOP. I got my dad to block Facebook on my laptop (I know, that was a huge sacrifice) and have decided to stop taking random three hour naps when I come home from school. SO far, it has been working out very well and I am getting back on track with my studies!

Oops, Forgot About Friday!

Holaaa,

So I completely forgot to blog on Friday. The main reason I forgot was because I was so engrossed in the silent film we watched in IMED. The Seashell and the Clergyman, also known as La Coquille et le Clergyman, was a film created in 1928 by Germaine Dulac. It was so weird seeing it because it contained all these odd images and ideas I had never seen before. I truly did not understand the movie until I began to think about it more critically. The film was filled with symbolism and it was extremely abstract. I think I am still a bit frightened by the priest who was madly (literally, madly) in love with the general's wife!

Lucky Day

So I was really nervous about yesterday because I thought I wouldn't have any of my friends in any of my classes. Also, I was terrified of going to my intramural sports class. However, God was with me the whole time and I got lucky. All of my friends were in my athletics class and in every class I had at least one buddy. Also, my government teacher was really cool and agreed to play the type of music we students enjoy listening to. Hopefully, this year will be fun-filled!

Fun Friday!

Omg!

So today was an extremely fun-filled day. It started off great this mornig because in IMED we got the chance to make silly movie posters with ourselves edited into them. The time passed before I knew it. The after school, RCHS was having its field day. It was awesome because we had lots of water balloon and whipping cream fights! All in all, today was a great day.

Today is just not my day. I am extremely tired because I slept at 12:30AM. I had to wake up at 5:30AM and now my eyes are sore. I am trying to stay awake, but unfortunately, I am having a lot of trouble trying to do just that. Wish me luck.

Blah, It's Monday...

Heeeeey,
So today I am not myself at all. There are very rare days -and I mean VERY RARE days- when I dress up in sweats and a hoodie; today would be one of those days. Yesterday was Eid and we were celebrating the end of the month of fasting. My family partied all day, but I was so exhausted that I fell asleep as soon as we came home from someone's party int he afternoon. People came and went to and from my house, but I was too tired and sleepy to notice.To top it all off, I woke up late this morning and was almost late to school. Hopefully I will be able to stay up in both of my classes today.

Tiring Day

Greetings people people the world ,

So today was a very tiring day. Although it began as a fun day of creating cool picture collages in my IMED class, the day began to slow down entirely at about 12:30, when my next class began. It wasn't that the class itself was boring; it was just the below-freezing temperature that made me dread sitting in the class for a whole three hours. Hopefully someone will get the air-conditioning fixed in my classroom. you know, I think I am going to start bringing my own little blankie to class everyday now...

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Hey Guys!
So I was at school forever yesterday, and when I finally went home I had a million other things to do. Even today, I will be running around doing several things. For one, I have to give my junior mentees a campus tour since I am a mentor group leader. Then when I go home, I have to attend a late night neighborhood party that will probably run through the middle of the night. Wish me luck that I can wake up for school tomorrow!

What a Relief!

Hey guys!

Today is my second day of August Term and I am so relieved that all both of my professors are cool. I wasn't so much afraid of my IMED teacher because he came off as a nice teacher from the beginning, but my PowerPoint teacher made my friend and I a bit nervous because of her proper posture (I know, we're weird..). However, she turned out to be very funny and I think I am going to enjoy her class as well as Professor Lynch's class.

FIRST DAY!

Soooo,
  Today is the first day of my senior year and boy am I excited! I have had senioritis since sophomore year and have been looking forward to this year ever since. I have loved high school -especially RCHS- but too much of anything isn't good. I think I am ready to be a big kid.

(By the way, this is my first blog and I think it's pretty cool; it's kind of like a diary...that everyone sees!)
